the Dance Factory

We offer creative movement for preschoolers; ballet, jazz, tap, and tumbling for kindergarten and up; hip hop for 1st grade and up.  Occasionally we have specialty camps and workshops in Lyrical, Modern, Technique, Music, Art, Drama, Dance for Special Needs Students, Ballroom, Creative Writing, Self Defense, and Praise Dance!

For the benefit of the students, classes are  closed to parents and other students.    However, you will have the opportunity to see your dancer/tumbler in action at the Christmas Program in December and the recital in June.

We ask the prospective student to try out the class while the parent or guardian waits in the waiting area just outside the dance room.

You  do need to notify the office in writing by the 1st of the month if you will be discontinuing class to avoid paying for that month.  If you do not notify us and fill out the necessary paperwork to stop the monthly billing of your credit card or checking/savings account, you will continue to be billed.

There are two opportunities to perform.  The Christmas Program -Dec.TBA and the recital in June.  Unless notified otherwise, we assume that all students will be in both shows.  See the FAQ about recital link for more information.

Pointe work is advanced ballet.  Students will not be able to decide when they are ready for pointe.  Neither will their parents.  That is something that the teacher will evaluate and issue an invitation to the student when she is ready.  For more information, visit the pointe work link. 

If your child is ill, please do not bring him/her to class. If your child has been sick but is feeling better, be sure he/she has been without fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for 24 hours.

The Dance Factory reserves the right to dismiss a child/family if there are behavior issues, problems adhering to the rules/policies of the studio, or if fees have not been paid.
